At approximately 9:55 p.m. on December 14, Fitchburg Police Officers were dispatched to the north end of the 5100 block of Anton Drive for an armed robbery. Officers immediately responded to the area from the earlier reported shots fired incident at the south end of the 5100 block of Anton Drive.
The adult male victim reported he had been walking home from a local convenience store when a male with a gun approached him from behind near the intersection of Anton Drive and Williamsburg Way. The suspect took money from the victim and then ran north. The Town of Madison Police K9 Unit conducted a track but the suspect was not located.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately twenty-five years old, with a slender build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and white shoes.
At this time there is no evidence to indicate this incident is related to the shots fired incident reported at the south end of Anton Drive around 9:30 p.m.. This incident remains under investigation and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Fitchburg Police Department at (608)270-4300.
