City of Fitchburg Healthy Neighborhoods Grant Program 2019 Funding Awards

Fitchburg, WI - The City of Fitchburg is pleased to announce 2019 Healthy Neighborhood Grant Program funding awards to the following non-profit entities:
- Badger Prairie Needs Network - $10,000
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County - $7,756
- Chapel Valley Church - $10,000
- The First Tee of South Central Wisconsin - $10,000
- Independent Living - $5,690
- Latino Academy of Workforce Development - $8,200
- Latino Chamber of Commerce - $10,000
- Verona Area School District High School - $8,200
Total funding awards to be disbursed from the Program in 2019 is $69,846, with the Program receiving fifteen total applications requesting $135,648. These funding awards will advance the City’s Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative (HNI), focusing on a variety of topics in three northern Fitchburg neighborhoods including youth/adult education, youth mentoring, workforce development, neighborhood engagement and community-building, and food insecurity.
