On July 30, 2019, at approximately 12:14 a.m., Fitchburg police officers responded to the 3000 block of Hartwicke Dr. for a report of a burglary that had just occurred. While officers were searching the area for the suspects, a separate report of suspicious activity was made in the 2800 block of Brian Ln. Fitchburg officers responded to this area and located the two suspects, who both fled from police on foot. One suspect, a 14 year old female, was captured. A K9 track was conducted to attempt to locate the other suspect, but he was not found. In addition to the crimes on Hartwicke Dr. and Brian Ln., a theft from automobile in the 3000 block of Purdy Station was also connected to these suspects.
