On Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 5:28 p.m., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the UW Credit Union at 6331 McKee Road for a robbery that had just occurred. The investigation revealed that a single suspect entered UW Credit Union, showed a handgun and demanded money. After receiving money from the teller the suspect fled from the bank on foot.
None of the bank employees were injured during this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
