Yesterday afternoon, personnel from the Fitchburg Department took a 33-year-old woman into custody related to the October 2 homicide investigation. Kania C. Quinn was arrested in Fitchburg and booked into the Dane County Jail on a tentative charge of First-Degree Intentional Homicide. Quinn had been living with the victim on Greenway Cross.

Details:
A 62-year-old man died early Saturday morning after being found unresponsive in the hallway of a Fitchburg apartment building. Around 2:30 a.m., officers from the Fitchburg and Town of Madison Police Departments responded to a report of a man down in the 2000 block of Greenway Cross. The man, found bleeding from stab wounds, was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased.
Investigators have spent the day processing the scene and speaking with witnesses. The incident appears to have started in the victim’s apartment, and it is believed the suspect and victim knew one another. No arrests have been made in the case.
The incident remains open and under active investigation. No additional information is available for public release. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
Identification of the victim is being withheld pending the investigation by the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.
