Summary:
At approximately 6:10 p.m. on August 20th, 2015 Fitchburg Police Officers responded to a reported robbery at Neil's Liquor located at 3064 Fish Hatchery Road.
Store employees reported a male had taken a bottle of liquor and ran out of the store. One of the employees followed the man out of the store and asked if he was going to pay for the item. The man reached down to his waistband and made a reference to shooting the employee.
A City of Madison Police K9 Unit conducted a track which led to a nearby apartment complex. A male matching the initial description provided was briefly detained until it was determined he was not the suspect.
Suspect Description:
The suspect is described as a 20-25 year old black male, 6'0" to 6'2", with a medium build. The suspect had short dreadlocks and "scruffy" facial hair. He was also described as having either a "lazy eye" or possibly a glass eye.
Arrests:
No arrests have been made at this time.
Injuries:
No injuries were reported.
