On December 31st, at approximately 3:45p.m., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department were called to the MetroPCS store at 2917 Fish Hatchery Rd. for a report of an armed robbery.
Officers arrived and discovered that two male suspects entered the store demanding cash and merchandise. The suspects both displayed black, semi-automatic handguns and threatened the store clerk. The suspects took several items from the store, including phones and cash. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
The suspects are described:
- Suspect 1: Hispanic male, 5’5”-5’7”, 160-180lbs., late teens/early 20s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white shirt across his face.
- Suspect 2: Light skinned black male, 5’8”-5’10”, medium build, late teens/early 20s also wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a black mask across his face.
A Madison Police K9 unit responded to assist with a track, however was unsuccessful in locating any suspects.
