[ARCHIVED] Truck 1 in Placed in Service

Truck1-1

Fitchburg Truck 1, a 2017 Pierce 100 Foot Aerial Platform, was recently placed into service at Firehouse #2 located at 2931 Marketplace Drive, in Fitchburg. Unlike our previous Ladder, Truck 1 carries 400 gallons of water and 20 gallon of Class A foam; and is based on the Pierce Ultimate Configuration (PUC) model apparatus.

Truck 1 carries an assortment of tools, including the Jaws of Life, rescue struts, air bags, basic cold water rescue equipment, basic high angle rescue equipment; as well as a 10,000-watt generator, and various other hand tools. Truck 1 was built on a Pierce Quantum cab and chassis in Appleton, WI.

For an up close look at Truck 1, stop by our new firehouse at 2931 Marketplace Dr. on September 8 from 4-6 pm for an Uncoupling Ceremony of our new firehouse.
