  1. MMSD Summer Food Program

    July 31, 2017 - August 11, 2017 @ Leopold Elementary School

    The MMSD Summer Food Program provides free meals to all children ages 18 and younger at around 50 sites across the Madison area. At Leopold Elementary, breakfast and lunch will be served every day. Any and all children may eat these meals for free at Leopold, and they do not need to be signed up for summer school.

  2. Crime Prevention Picnic

    August 5, 2017, 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ McKee Farms Park

    Join your neighbors and area first responders to help say "goodbye to crime" at the Fitchburg Police Department's annual Crime Prevention Picnic. Check out emergency vehicle displays and enjoy games and refreshments. The Crime Prevention Picnic is part of the National Night Out campaign to unite communities in an effort to prevent crime.

    This year's theme (for all ages) is Build a Better World. For adults, stop in and fill out reviews for books you have read or listened to. For each review, you'll win a chance for either a $50 gift card to Target, a $50 gift card to Kneaded Relief, or a $40 charitable donation to Habitat for Humanity, Heifer International, or Doctors Without Borders (plus a $10 treat for you).

  2. Lego Showcase and Zipline Challenge

    August 5, 2017, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Fitchburg Public Library Meeting Room

    Come celebrate the final day of our summer reading program by enjoying a variety of awesome Lego creations on display by the Wisconsin Lego Users Group (WisLUG), and try your hand at making a Lego creation that will survive the zipline challenge! Recommended for ages 5-12.

  1. Leopold to the Library Bike Rides

    August 5, 2017, 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Leopold Elementary School

    Join us for a fun family bike ride from Leopold School to the Fitchburg Library. We will meet at the Leopold playground to go over basic bike safety, then volunteers from Bike Fitchburg will lead a ride to the Fitchburg Library for snacks and entertainment. Extra bicycles, bike locks, and helmets generously provided by Fitchburg Cycles.
