The community and well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to attend the Grand Opening Ceremonies of Sunnyside Park, Fitchburg's first dog park, on Saturday, June 30th at 3:00 pm. The opening ceremony includes remarks from Mayor Jason Gonzalez and Fitchburg Dog Park Advocate members, followed by the unveiling of the dedication boulder, honoring Maxine Wilke and family, along with the Sunnyside name. Parking will be limited, therefore, attendees are encouraged to park at Gorman Wayside, just a short walk south of the park on Fish Hatchery Road.
