On Friday, April 5th, 2019, at approximately 11:20 p.m. officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the intersection of Pike Dr and Eggiman Rd for a report of a hit and run accident where both a person and occupied vehicle were struck. The suspect vehicle was described as a 4 door red or maroon sedan with damage to the front passenger side last seen heading north on Eggiman Rd. The person hit by the suspect vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by Town of Madison EMS to the hospital. An occupant of the struck vehicle also sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported by Fitchrona EMS to the hospital, the second occupant was not injured. At this time the suspect vehicle has not been located and there is no description of the suspect driver.
The Town of Madison Police Department, the Sun Prairie Police Department and the Dane County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.
