Earlier this week, officers and detectives developed probable cause to arrest Trevion J. Williams for his involvement in a shots fired incident that occurred on April 11, 2021, in the 3300 block of Leopold Way. Williams was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Following his arrest, a search warrant was executed at his apartment and additional evidence linking him to the incident, including a handgun, was located.
Williams was transported to the Dane County Jail and made an initial appearance Thursday in Dane County Circuit Court on the charge of 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
Investigators with the Fitchburg Police Department are still working to determine the events that led up to the shots being fired. It is believed the female pictured here may have information regarding this incident and investigators would like to speak with her. She is not considered a suspect.
Personnel from the Fitchburg and Madison Police Departments are continuing to investigate the relationship between this incident and a bullet that entered a home in the 2900 block of Traceway Drive (City of Madison Release) around the same time on the evening of April 11, 2021.

On April 11, 2021, at 9:47 p.m., Officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the 3300 block of Leopold Way for a report of shots fired. Officers located shell casings in the area and a witness reported seeing a male shooting at two people that were running away. No injuries have been reported. Around the same time, the Madison Police Department responded to the 2900 block of Traceway Dr. for a report of a bullet entering a home. At this time it is unknown if the incidents are related.
Suspect Description: A 120 lbs black male wearing a red hoodie.
