On Sunday, 9/12, thousands of bicyclists will ride through the City of Fitchburg as part of the IRONMAN Wisconsin Triathlon and the IRONMAN 70.3 Wisconsin Triathlon. 

The course will be active in Fitchburg from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes as they may encounter long delays at intersections while bicyclists are in the area. We appreciate your patience and extra caution while driving in the area.

Fitchburg Police personnel will be controlling traffic at the following intersections:

•Oregon Rd/Rimrock Rd/CTH MM

•CTH MM/McCoy Rd^*

•CTH MM/Lacy Rd

•CTH MM/Haight Farm Rd*

•CTH MM/Irish Ln

•Irish Ln/Syene Rd^^

•Irish Ln/Caine Rd

•Whalen Rd/Caine Rd

•Fish Hatchery Rd/Whalen Rd

^McCoy Road is closed from Herman Rd to Syene Rd due to a railroad crossing improvement project

^^Syene Rd is closed to through traffic from Aurora Ave to Irish Ln for a construction project

*Officers present until 11:00 a.m.
