Incident Summary:
On Sunday, July 24th, at approximately 9:24 p.m., officers from the Fitchburg Police Department responded to the 5600 block of Longford Terrace for a male reporting he had been attacked.
Officers located a 31 year-old male with non-life-threatening lacerations caused by an unknown weapon. The victim was attacked by an unknown attacker or attackers who fled the scene with the victim's digital music player. The victim was unable to provide a description of the suspect(s).
A Madison Police Department K9 Unit conducted a track to attempt to locate the suspect(s), however no one was located.
The victim was transported from the scene to a local hospital for treatment.
