Here is what's coming up this week at your library:
Friday, January 25
  • Snow Stories and Crafts (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a.m. Beat the winter cold with snow stories and crafts. We will read chilly stories and decorate some cold crafts! Recommended for children ages 2-5.
Saturday, January 26
  • Optical Illusions (ages 5-12) @ 11:00 a.m. Not everything is what it appears to be. Come to the library to explore and create optical illusions.
Monday, January 28
  • Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 9:30 a.m.
  • Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a.m.
Tuesday, January 29
  • Lapsit Storytime (ages 0-2) @ 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday, January 30
  • Toddler Art (ages 1-3) @ 10:00 a.m. Explore and play with fun art materials! Children will practice fine motor skills as they engage in process art. Parents are encouraged to stop in at various times throughout the hour. Be prepared to get messy! Please bring smocks or "messy clothes" for your child. For children ages 1-3.
Thursday, January 31
  • STEAM Power! (ages 2-5) @ 10:00 a.m. Join us at the library for a STEAM Power storytime and exploration. We will have a short storytime then explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math based on the themes in the books.
  • Minute to Win It Challenge (ages 5-12) @ 6:00 p.m. Looking for a challenge?? Beat your friends in minute to win it games and have some laughs!
Friday, February 1
  • Perler Beads (ages 5-12) @ 4:00 p.m. Drop down to the Fitchburg Public Library for a fun afternoon with perler beads. Recommended for ages 5-12. No registration required.
Saturday, February 2
  • Superhero Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 10:30 a.m. Join us for a Saturday morning storytime all about superheroes! Recommended for ages 2-5, with siblings welcome.
Don't forget to pick up a Winter Reading Bingo card at the Children's desk! We have cards for Read-to-Me, Readers and Teens. Children must be 2 years old and older to participate. It is a great opportunity to do early literacy activities during the cold winter months! Complete the activities to win prizes and free books!
Winter Reading Bingo runs from January 2- February 28, 2019.
