Friday, August 16
Book Boogie (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a.m. Boogie on down to the Fitchburg Public Library for a morning filled with books, dancing, crafts and more! If you love music and movement, this is the program for you. Recommended for toddlers and preschoolers who love to move.
Saturday, August 17
Indoor Camping Adventure (ages 5-12) @ 10:30 a.m. Tired of mosquitoes? Not interested in sleeping on the ground? Here’s your opportunity for a camping experience without all of that! Come to Fitchburg Public Library to build a bird nest, make animal tracks, read in a tent and enjoy a s’more!
Tuesday, August 20
READ to a Dog (ages 5-12) @ 5:00 p.m. Reading to a dog is a wonderful way to build reading skills and confidence. Independent readers in grades K-5 can sign-up for a 20 minute spot to sit down and read to a registered therapy animal. Registration required. Call 608-729-1762 or stop by the Youth Services desk. *Spaces are still available!
Wednesday, August 21
Toddler Build (ages 1-3) @ 10:00 a.m. It’s time for your little one to build! He or she will stack, balance and connect various materials while developing spatial thinking as well as strengthening dexterity and hand-eye coordination during this open-ended play time!
Family Pajama Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 6:00 p.m. Family Pajama Storytime is a super fun evening program, focused on winding down for the night. Featuring stories, songs and movement activities followed by a short craft all in your PJs. Parents, leave the bedtime routine to us!
