Friday, September 13
  • Book Boogie (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a.m. Boogie on down to the Fitchburg Public Library for a morning filled with books, dancing, crafts and more! If you love music and movement, this is the program for you. Recommended for toddlers and preschoolers who love to move.
  • Back to School Buttons (ages 5-12) @ 4:00 p.m. Who doesn't love an awesome button? Using a variety of materials, design the coolest button for back to school! All materials will be provided, along with challenges to inspire creativity.

  • Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 9:30 a.m. 
  • Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a.m.
  • Make a Piñata (ages 5-12) @ 6:00 p.m. Celebrate Mexican Independence Day at Fitchburg Public Library by making a piñata!
Tuesday, September 17
  • Lapsit Storytime (ages 0-2) @ 11:00 a.m. 
  • READ to a Dog (ages 5-12) @ 5:00 p.m. Reading to a dog is a wonderful way to build reading skills and confidence. Independent readers in grades K-5 can sign-up for a 20 minute spot to sit down and read to a registered therapy animal. Registration required. Call 608-729-1762 or stop by the Youth Services desk. *Spaces are still available!
Wednesday, September 18
  • Play-Doh Palooza (ages 2-5) @ 9:30 a.m. Drop in for sensory fun time at Fitchburg Public Library. Your child will enjoy expressing his or her creativity while using different tools to shape dough. Play will build finger strength as well as color and shape recognition.
  • Family Pajama Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 6:00 p.m. Family Pajama Storytime is a super fun evening program, focused on winding down for the night. Featuring stories, songs and movement activities followed by a short craft all in your PJs. Parents, leave the bedtime routine to us!
Thursday, September 19
  • Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 10:30 a.m. Come join the professionals of CI Pediatric Therapy Centers for books, activities, and fun! Open to children and their parents/caregivers. • Learn how to enhance your child’s language skills through reading. • Learn how to incorporate songs and motor activities with books. • Language and motor developmental milestones will be provided. • Opportunity to ask questions about your child’s development. • Led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist.
  • UnBookclub! (ages 9-12) @ 6:00 p.m. Welcome to the UNBookclub!! Read a book from our monthly genre and come ready to have fun with discussion, snack and craft! For September, let’s discuss what you read this summer!

  • Tape Town (ages 2-5) @ 10:30 a.m. Drop in any time from 10:30-12:30 to 'drive' around our Tape Town! We'll have plenty of tape 'roads' connecting different parts of our interactive town. Use our toy cars and trucks, or bring your own!

  • Do Re Read Mi a Story (ages 2-5) @ 10:30 a.m. Dance, wiggle and sing along at our fun storytime for young movers. Recommended for toddlers and preschoolers who love to move!
  • Kids Movie: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World @ 2:00 p.m. Join us in the Storytime Room for popcorn and a movie! Rated PG. 104 minutes.
