Here is what's coming up this week at your library:

Friday, November 15
  • Book Boogie (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a. m. Boogie on down to the Fitchburg Public Library for a morning filled with books, dancing, crafts and more! If you love music and movement, this is the program for you. Recommended for toddlers and preschoolers who love to move.
Monday, November 18
  • Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 9:30 a. m.
  • Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a. m.
  • Afternoon Arts & Crafts (ages 5-12) @ 4:00 p. m. Drop down to the library for an afternoon of art and crafts! We'll have various mediums available to explore. Take home a project that you love!
Tuesday, November 19
  • Lapsit Storytime (ages 0-2) @ 11:00 a. m. A 20-minute storytime for babies and toddlers featuring stories, songs, bounces, and rhymes. Followed by a 15-minute social time for caregivers and playtime for babies and toddlers. No registration is required.
  • READ to a Dog (ages 5-12) @ 5:00 p. m. Reading to a dog is a wonderful way to build reading skills and confidence. Independent readers in grades K-5 can sign-up for a 20 minute spot to sit down and read to a registered therapy animal. Call 608-729-1762 or stop by the Youth Services desk. (sign-up required)
Wednesday, November 20
  • Toddler Art (ages 1-3) @ 10:00 a. m. Explore and play with fun art materials! Children will practice fine motor skills as they engage in process art or create crafts. Parents are encouraged to stop in at various times throughout the hour. Be prepared to get messy!
  • Family PJ Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 6:00 p. m. Family Pajama Storytime is a super fun evening program, focused on winding down for the night. Featuring stories, songs and movement activities followed by a short craft all in your PJs. Parents, leave the bedtime routine to us!
Thursday, November 21
  • Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 10:30 a. m. Come join the professionals of CI Pediatric Therapy Centers for books, activities, and fun! Open to children ages 2-5 and their parents/caregivers. • Learn how to enhance your child’s language skills through reading. • Learn how to incorporate songs and motor activities with books. • Language and motor developmental milestones will be provided. • Opportunity to ask questions about your child’s development. • Led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist.
  • Bouncing Babies (ages 0-1) @ 1:00 p. m. This program will have lap rhymes, songs, stories and fun! After the program, enjoy social time with other parents/caregivers and tummy time for the babies. This program is ideal for prewalkers, starting at birth.
  • Unbookclub! (ages 9-12) @ 6:00 p. m. Welcome to the UNBookclub!! Read a book from our monthly genre and come ready to have fun with discussion, snack and craft! For November, let’s discuss an historical fiction!

  • We're Going on a Bear Hunt (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a. m. Come to the library for a story, songs, crafts, and a bear hunt! We’re not scared!
Saturday, November 23
  • Thanksgiving Crafts (ages 2-5) @ 10:30 a. m. Join us at the Fitchburg Public Library to make crafts for Thanksgiving! We will make crafts and give thanks!
