Here is what's coming up this week at your library:
The library will be CLOSED Friday, November 29th. We will reopen with regular hours on Saturday, November 30th.
All new LINKcat is coming! The new catalog will roll out on Dec. 11th. We will have limited services during the upgrade starting Dec 6th. Between December 7th - December 11th, you must have a library card to check out. More information will be available as we near December 6th.
Monday, December 2
Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 9:30 a. m.
Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a. m.
Tuesday, December 3
Lapsit Storytime (ages 0-2) @ 11:00 a. m. A 20-minute storytime for babies and toddlers featuring stories, songs, bounces, and rhymes. Followed by a 15-minute social time for caregivers and playtime for babies and toddlers. No registration is required.
Build a Boat (ages 5-12) @ 4:00 p. m. Come to a STEM workshop at the library and build your own boat out of everyday materials! We'll learn about what makes boats float and then test our designs. For kids ages 5-12.
Wednesday, December 4
Blanket Fort PlayTime (ages 1-3) @ 10:00 a. m. It’s blanket fort time at the library! Bring your little one to crawl around, engage in imaginative play, hide from the outside world, or snuggle in to read a book. Caregivers must be willing and able to supervise his or her child inside the fort. Recommended for ages 1-3.
Family Holiday Movie Trivia (all ages) @ 4:00 p. m. Create a team and head over to the Fitchburg Library to test your knowledge of popular holiday movies! Hot chocolate will be provided.
Thursday, December 5
Bouncing Babies (ages 0-1) @ 1:00 p. m. This program will have lap rhymes, songs, stories and fun! After the program, enjoy social time with other parents/caregivers and tummy time for the babies. This program is ideal for prewalkers, starting at birth.
Deck the Halls! (ages 5-12) @ 4:00 p. m. What better way to kick off the month than by creating festive décor for around the house? We’ve pulled out the craft supplies and will be making fun holiday garlands perfect for around the tree, draped from the banister, hung in the doorway or taped to the wall down the hall!
