Here is what's coming up this week at your library:
Friday, January 24
Snow Crafts (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a. m. Enjoy a morning of snowy crafts with your child! Make a craft to decorate your home. Registration is not required.
Saturday, January 25
Teddy Bear Picnic (ages 2-5) @ 10:30 a. m. Bring your teddy bear or stuffie to visit the library and join you for a short storytime and indoor picnic, crafts, and fun!
Monday, January 27
Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 9:30 a. m.
Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a. m.
Tuesday, January 28
Lapsit Storytime (ages 0-2) @ 11:00 a. m. A 20-minute storytime for babies and toddlers featuring stories, songs, bounces, and rhymes. Followed by a 15-minute social time for caregivers and playtime for babies and toddlers. No registration is required.
Snap & Squishy Circuits (ages 5-12) @ 3:30 p. m. Are your kids interested in learning how electronics work? If so, this could be the perfect program! During the program, kids will have the opportunity to construct circuit projects using Snap Circuits and Squishy Circuits. Kids ages 5-8 will require adult guidance during the program. *Registration is required. Please call the Youth Desk at 608-729-1762 to register.
Wednesday, January 29
Toddler Art (ages 1-3) @ 10:00 a. m. Explore and play with fun art materials! Children will practice fine motor skills as they engage in process art or create crafts. Parents are encouraged to stop in at various times throughout the hour. Be prepared to get messy!
Thursday, January 30
Preschool Art (ages 2-5) @ 10:00 a. m. Explore and play with fun art materials! Art activities will help your little ones master fine-motor skills and help them learn about cause and effect as they make changes in materials (and a lot of mess!).
Bouncing Babies (ages 0-1) This program will have lap rhymes, songs, stories and fun! After the program, enjoy social time with other parents/caregivers and tummy time for the babies. This program is ideal for prewalkers, starting at birth.
