  • The Library is Closed in Observance of Labor Day. 
Tuesday, September 7
  • Take Home Tuesday - Stop by the Fitchburg Public Library and pick up a fun Take Home Tuesday activity bag! Take and make activity bags are for children ages 2-5 and 6-12. They will be available outside the Library's main entrance every Tuesday starting at 10:00am. Please limit to one bag per child. While supplies last.

  • Style Your Locker - Give your locker some style and stay organized by customizing this dry erase weekly calendar with clothespin magnets! Check out the video tutorial on the Fitchburg Public Library's Facebook Page.

Thursday, September 9

  • Story & A Snack: Apples!  - Visit the Fitchburg Library Facebook page to access a video showcasing picture books about apples paired with an apple snack!
Friday, September 10
  • Friday Fun to Go! - Stop by the Fitchburg Public Library and pick up some Friday Fun activity bags! Take and make activity bags are for children ages 2-5 and 6-12. They will be available in the Children's section of the library every Friday starting at 10:00am. Please limit to one bag per child. While supplies last.
Ongoing Programs
  • StoryWalk at McKee Farms Park - A StoryWalk is a combination of reading, movement, and nature that the entire community can enjoy. The story begins on the walking path by the large shelter and continues clockwise around the park. Visit McKee Farms Park to enjoy a story and the outdoors. This project was generously funded by the Friends of the Fitchburg Public Library.
  • Grab Bags - Do you miss browsing the stacks? Tell us what kind of books you're looking for and a librarian will pick them out for you. Follow this link and fill out an order form.
  • 1000 Books Before Kindergarten - Check out this free program that is designed to develop early literacy skills in children from birth until Kindergarten. Get started by signing up on Beanstack
