Here is what's coming up this week at your library:
Friday, March 1
Book Boogie (ages 1-5) @ 11:00 a.m. Boogie on down to the Fitchburg Public Library for a morning filled with books, dancing, crafts and more! If you love music and movement, this is the program for you. Recommended for toddlers and preschoolers ages 1-5 years who love to move.
Monday, March 4
Girl Power Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 10:00 a.m. In honor of National Women' s Day boys and girls will hear stories celebrating strong women and girl power!
DIY Mini Basketball (ages 9-12) @ 4:00 p.m. Join us for March Madness fun at the library! Create your own mini basketball court out of a shoebox and other materials, then challenge your friends to a game! For ages 9-12. Registration required. Please call the Youth Services Desk at 608-729-1762 to register.
Tuesday, March 5
Mardi Gras Party! (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a.m. Come to our special dinosaur-themed storytime and Tea Party. Children are invited to bring their favorite dinosaur toy and stomp on down to the library for the fanciest dinosaur story time ever! Recommended for children ages 2-5. Registration required. Wednesday, March 6
Toddler Art (ages 1-3) @ 10:00 a.m. Explore and play with fun art materials! Children will practice fine motor skills as they engage in process art. Parents are encouraged to stop in at various times throughout the hour. Be prepared to get messy! Please bring smocks or "messy clothes" for your child.
Friday, March 8
Bug Stories (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a.m. Come listen to stories about bugs of all kinds. Recommended for ages 2-5 and their siblings.
Perler Beads (ages 5-12) @ 4:00 p.m. Drop down to the Fitchburg Public Library for a fun afternoon with perler beads! Recommended for ages 5-12. No registration required.
Saturday, March 9
STEAM Build: Leprechaun Traps (ages 4 and up) @ 10:00 a.m. St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner. Have you ever seen a leprechaun? Do you think you can trap one? Come to the library and put your building skills to test!
