Summer Reading Program! (June 14-August 9) Don't forget to pick up your summer reading folder and get started earning prizes for reading!
Here is what's coming up this week at your library:
Friday, June 28
4th of July Crafts (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a.m. With Independence Day around the corner, come and make some festive crafts at the library! Drop in any time during the hour to make your crafts!
Build a Rocket (ages 5-8) @ 4:00 p.m. 3-2-1 Blast off! Stop in throughout the hour to create a small rocket from household supplies. Take it home to watch it launch over and over again!
Saturday, June 29
Do Re Mi a Story (ages 2-5) @ 10:30 a.m. Dance, wiggle and sing along at our fun storytime for young movers. Recommended for toddlers and preschoolers who love to move!
Monday, July 1
Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 9:30 a.m.
Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a.m.
Tuesday, July 2
Lapsit Storytime (ages 0-2) @ 11:00 a.m.
Out of This World Buttons (ages 5-12) @ 4:00 p.m. Who doesn't love an awesome button? Using a variety of materials, design buttons that are out of this world! All materials will be provided, along with challenges to inspire creativity.
Wednesday, July 3
Fireworks Toddler Art (ages 1-3) @ 10:00 a.m. Explore and play with fun art materials! Children will practice fine motor skills as they engage in process art while stamping with straws to create a colorful fireworks painting. Parents are encouraged to stop in at various times throughout the hour. Please bring smocks or "messy clothes" for your child.
Thursday, July 4
The library will be CLOSED in observance of the Fourth of July Holiday. We will reopen tomorrow, Friday, July 5th at 10:00 a.m.
Friday, July 5
Train Party! (ages 2-5) @ 11:00 a.m. Choo Choo! All Aboard for train books, songs, crafts, and play time that builds early literacy skills. Your little engineer(s) won’t want to miss this event! Registration required. Please call 608-729-1762 to register. *Spaces are still available!
Saturday, July 6
Start Your Engines (ages 5-12) @ 10:30 a.m. Daytona International Speedway may be a distance from WI, but you can still get your race car driving in this summer! Zoom down a ramp, create a tape track, build a toy car wash or simply play on a road mat. Please BYO clearly labeled Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars.
