Composition

The Commission on Aging Well shall be comprised of one alderperson and six residents of the city.  No less than five of the resident members shall be 55 years old or older.

Summary of Duties

The Commission on Aging Well investigates the changing needs of older persons in the city, plans programs and services of interest to senior citizens, assists with preparing an annual budget, and recommends proposals for services, programs and activities. The committee adopts policies, rules, and procedures governing meetings and activities as it deems necessary and appropriate to fulfill its duties and responsibilities to accomplish its purpose.
